Inwood Man Arrested in Connection with Series of Pedestrian Robberies, Cops Say

Inwood, NY - January 8, 2017 - Major Case Bureau detectives from the Robbery Squad report the arrest of Yonathan Arreaga, 18, of Inwood, in connection with multiple robberies that occurred in December 2017.
 
According to detectives, along with the previously-arrested Kevin Moran of Far Rockaway, 16, Arreaga was responsible for three pedestrian robberies that all occurred in Inwood.
 
  • 12/09/2017 – Parking lot across from 107 Doughty Blvd. at 1:30 pm. – Victims purse
  • 12/10/2017 – Grand Central Pl. at 10:05 am. – Victims Cash
  • 12/10/2017 – Grand Central Pl. at 12:05 pm. – Attempt / No Proceeds
Arreaga is being charged with Robbery 1st Degree, two (2) counts of Robbery 2nd Degree and Attempted Robbery 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on January 6, 2018 in First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
