There’s an old adage that goes: Long Islanders can never get enough of their pizza and there’s never enough pizzerias on Long Island. Ok. We just made that up but it seems to be true. There’s not a shopping center or stretch of road on Long island without a pizza place and despite the sheer number and variety, everyone seems to have that one favorite place. Some are close to home and others are worth travelling for.

 

In 2021, that trend doesn’t seem to be stopping.

Mozzafiato opened this year and people are already making it their new favorite.

 

The owners say on their website that they have “lived and studied the art of making pizza in Italy and wanted to bring to Suffolk County a new dining experience that offers all varieties of pizza from NY Style and Roman Style to our Brick Oven personal pizza, making Mozzafiato the first on Long Island to introduce all three styles of pizza.”
 

On Yelp, Michelle F., from Centereach, said “this brand new pizzeria is fantastic.”

 

“The pizza is outstanding, the staff is friendly and the place is very nicely done,” she wrote in her review. “They make unique specialty pizzas every day to choose from.  I had a slice with burrata mozzarella, short rib and truffle oil...It was amazing.  Be sure to check them out, you won't be disappointed.”

Steven T., from Hampton Bays, discovered Mozzafiato recently and did not regret trying it out.

 

“I had the luck of finding this new and wonderful addition to the Centereach area.,” he said “They have a brick oven as well as four other pizza ovens to get all their fine specially pizzas out the door to you fast! Their menu is extensive offering many selections of Appetizers, salads,  pastas, entrees. soups, heros and panini… You will be delighted!"

 

Frank L., of Ronkonkoma put it this way: “This place is gonna be such a zoo when the word gets out!”
