Officials: One Dead, One Injured When Vehicle Hits Pedestrians in Long Beach

Long Beach, NY - January 7, 2019 - Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal auto accident that occurred on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 12:30 A.M. in Long Beach.
 
According to detectives, a female, 57, and a male, 60, were walking northbound across E. Park Ave after exiting the Half Moon Restaurant and Bar, located at 22. E. Park Ave, Long Beach; when a 1999 Buick Century traveling west on E. Park Ave struck the two.
 
The female victim was pronounced deceased at the scene at 1236 A.M. by a Long Beach Fire Department EMT. The male victim, suffering from injuries including multiple fractures, a broken spine and a lacerated kidney was transported by Long Beach FD to a nearby hospital in critical but stable condition.
 
The 1999 Buick was operated by a 22 year old male. His vehicle was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is currently ongoing.
