Nassau County, NY - January 7, 2015 - In an effort to involve, energize, retain and attract young professionals who live or want to live in Nassau, County Executive Edward P. Mangano has created the Nassau 200 Millennial Think-Tank. With the assistance of Zogby International, County Executive Mangano is forming this group of millennial opinion leaders to advise the County on initiatives important to those born between 1979 and 1995.

"My administration is providing our young workforce with job opportunities, new rental options and attractive entertainment venues that compete with neighboring city boroughs; however, that is only part of the solution toward attracting and retaining young people on Long Island," stated County Executive Mangano.

"The Nassau 200 Millennial Think-Tank will truly help our government assess the needs of young people and establish a 'buy-in' among Millennial by providing them a forum and a means of harnessing their talent."

The Nassau 200 Millennial Think-Tank furthers County Executive Mangano's goal of curtailing the "Brain Drain" on Long Island. This initiative builds on the Mangano administration's efforts to attract and retain young professionals in Nassau County. They will be charged with the mission of reversing the migration of crucial talent off Long Island.

County Executive Mangano added, "From advising my cabinet, to ratifying select plans and programs, generating new ideas and building new initiatives, this group of residents born between 1979 and 1995, will help us encourage young people to live and work in Nassau County. It is initiatives such as this, along with our anti-property-tax and pro-job growth policies that are designed to have an immediate and profound impact on our future."

Said John Zogby, founder of the Zogby Poll about working with Mangano "Millennials have to be taken seriously because there are so many of them and they will be 30 percent of the workforce in just a few years. They bring to the table a worldview and set of values that are vital to any county. Zogby Analytics provides a tested and unique method for reaching and understanding the opinions of Nassau County millennials"
