The Arson Bomb Squad reports the arrest of a Lindenhurst man for Arson that occurred on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 1:35 a.m. in Massapequa Park.
According to Detectives, officers responded to a Park Lane residence for a disturbance. Upon arrival they observed a small fire inside an attached carport. The Massapequa Fire Department responded to extinguish the flames.
A thorough investigation resulted in the arrest of Kevin Seymour, 46, of 340 North Indiana Avenue. The defendant was transported to a local area hospital for smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
Defendant Seymour is charged with Attempted Arson 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree and Arson 5th Degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
