Downtown Hampton Bays: Its Future, Present, and Past

Southampton, NY - January 6, 2015 - Stony Brook University Professor of Ecological Design Marc Fasanella will present a showcase of regional and international environmental design and neighborhood redevelopment projects relevant to the unique culture and economy of Hampton Bays titled: “On Good Ground: Envisioning the Future of the Hamlet of Hampton Bays.”

  • The New Old Neighborhood: Mixed Use, Pedestrian, Efficient & Affordable
  • Place-Making: Crafting a Community Identity, Good Ground Park & Downtown Revitalization

Professor Fasanella's presentation will be followed by an audience charrette. Southampton Town Deputy Supervisor, Frank Zappone, and staff from the Southampton Town Planning Dept. will be available to aid in developing the logistical roadmap needed to chart our vision of Hampton Bays’ future.

Downtown Hampton Bays can be a jewel in the crown of the Hamptons. We are fortunate to have educators and professionals such as Prof. Fasanella, Deputy Supervisor Zappone and the Southampton Town Planning Department help us frame our future.
