SCPD Crime Alert: Pair Wanted for Attempting to Rob Central Islip Gas Station

Central Islip, NY - January 6th, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who attempted to rob a Central Islip gas station in July.

A man entered USA Gas, located at 44 East Suffolk Ave., pointed a knife at an employee and demanded cash at approximately 9:30 p.m. on July 18, 2013. The suspect, who was described as white, between 25 and 30 years old and 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a medium build, fled with no proceeds.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
