Formerly TR's Great American, the building on the corner of Hillside and Pennsylvania Avenues in Williston Park has been completely renovated and recently reopened as Willistons'.

According to an article in Newsday, the new restaurant is owned by a couple of locals, John O'Hara and Joe Leone.

Both were friends since elementary school and hung out together at TR's Great American.

The new design has been lighting up review sites with people commenting on how the atmosphere is upscale yet still feels down to earth.

On Yelp, Jessica W said that the renovations are stunning.

“I love the new style, the ambiance, and the photos on the walls,” she said.

Laurie W gave Willistons’ five stars.

“My husband and I have been eagerly anticipating the opening of Willistons' from the day construction began,” she wrote. “I am not kidding when I say it was well worth the wait!  From floor to ceiling and every special touch in between this renovation is quite upscale, yet the vibe remains very down to earth. No easy feat, but accomplished!”
