Fatal Accident with Woman Pinned Under Vehicle

Update - January 5, 2014 - Jennifer T. Feuerman, 50, of Willowood Circle, Westhampton, has been identified as the woman who died after being pinned under her vehicle in Center Moriches yesterday.

Center Moriches, NY - January 4, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle incident in which a woman died after being pinned under her vehicle yesterday.

The woman was found lying on the ground in front of 28 Bowditch Lane yesterday at 7:12 p.m. Detectives believe that she had exited her 2012 Mercedes while it was still running and in gear. The car backed over her and pinned her under the driver's side door. She was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The name of the woman is being withheld pending positive identification.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
