Kick'n Chicken Brings Nashville Style to Farmingdale

Written by Lon Cohen  |  08. January 2022

While the reviews on Yelp are mixed, there is a lot of hype around this new joint that opened in December. Kick'n Chicken is serving Nashville-style chicken. They say that they strive for the “perfect fried chicken, with scratch made sides, and secret menu items to keep things interesting.”

A recent example is their Korean N’ Kimchi speciality sandwich - a fried chicken breast, with Gochujang sauce, kimchi, and sweet chili mayo.

The regular menu features chicken sandwiches that you can order to your heat preference, buckets of chicken, tenders, and plates all with specialty flavored dipping sauces you can get on the side. Dessert includes a variety of shakes and gelato.

According to a story on Patch.com, owner and head chef Ryan Carroll discovered his taste for Nashville-style chicken on a trip to Tennessee.

“While running his non-profit, Carroll's Kitchen Long Island, Carroll came across the empty Farmingdale storefront and proposed bringing a chicken joint to the village,” reported Patch.

MC S, from Port Washington, said that Kick'n Chicken was amazing.

“Flavorful and the spice was great,” MC wrote. “Got the chicken plate and it was great. Came with Texas toast and pickles.  Definitely coming back.”

Others found long lines and a little disorganization due to its popularity. Some people said that they were online for 40 minutes due to crowds at the opening.
