Sei Ramen Opens in East Setauket

Written by Lon Cohen  |  07. January 2020

Ramen has been taking over Long Island as multiple Japanese noodle joints have been popping up over the last year or so. One of the latest to serve up authentic Ramen dishes is Sei Ramen in East Setauket.

The menu at Sei Ramen breaks down three different broth bases: Pork, Chicken Soup, and Vegetarian. They also offer rice dishes, like curry rice, and small plates like edamame, dumplings, and Takoyaki, octopus puffs.

Anticipation for this restaurant in the area has been high.

“I might have grown a few grey hairs waiting in excitement for this place,” said Gina F, of Port Jefferson, on Yelp.

The reviews have been very positive so far.

“The best Ramen on Long island,” wrote BoAo Z, of Queens, on Yelp. “The signature ramen Tonkatsu Black is just amazing.”

According to the menu, Tonkatsu Black is a pork broth dish topped with pork chashu, boiled egg, garlic oil, scallions, and menma.

Location: 244 Rte 25A, East Setauket, (631) 675-0808.
