Central Islip, NY - January 2, 2019 - Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Central Islip on Tuesday, January 1.
 
A pedestrian, Taekwon Campbell, 22, who was undomiciled, was struck by a vehicle travelling northbound on Lowell Avenue, north of Cypress Street, at approximately 1:30 a.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
