NCPD Crime Alert: Three Suspects Wanted for Hewlett Pharmacy Robbery

Hewlett, NY - January 2nd, 2014 - The Fourth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, January 01, 2014 at 8:50 p.m. in Hewlett.

According to detectives, three subjects, a female black and two male blacks, entered the Duane Reade located at 1348 Broadway. The female and one of the male subjects distracted the two employees, a female 24 and a male 20, while the third subject jumped over the pharmaceutical counter and removed some non prescription items. A security gate prevented him from accessing the prescription medical items. As the three subjects began to flee, the male employee attempted to stop them and was thrown to the floor.  All three subjects fled on foot in an unknown direction.  There were no injuries reported. The female subject was wearing a blue stripped jacket, one male subject was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and the other male was wearing a blue hooded jacket.
