Hempstead Man Arrested on New Year's Eve for Attempted Murder

Hempstead, NY - January 1st, 2014 - The Special Investigations Squad reports the arrest of a Hempstead man that occurred on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 10:40 pm in Hempstead.
 
According to detectives, a Hempstead Police Officer recognized the defendant Corey Crisp, 34, of 50 Webb Avenue wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on August 31, 2013 at 10:46 a.m. on Margret Court in Hempstead. The officer placed Crisp under arrest without incident. During that investigation it was discovered that he was in possession of a defaced loaded silver hand gun.
 
Crisp is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd degree, Assault 1st degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm 1st degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree, three counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree. He was arraigned on January 1, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
