Fondue Fun - Dinner & Drinks with a Unique Spin.

22 Mar, 2012 9:44 a.m.

There have many many nights that my friends and I have been looking for something new to do or try on Long Island - something different than the usual pub hangout spots and restaurants we usually frequent.

Along the way, we discovered the Melting Pot - a fondue restaurant in Farmingdale that provides more than just dinner - but entertainment and conversation. The unique set up of the table include a stovetop in the middle for the fondue pot - everyone shares their cheese, chocolate & meal, which gets everyone to really open up a bit more, I think.

Are there any other unique nightlife spots anyone can recommend?

I love the Melting Pot. Their cheese and chocolate dishes are all great, though I haven't gotten around to trying any of the entrees. The specialty drinks are pretty well done as well.

I can personally recommend The Melting Pot as an excellent dining location. Really, all around fun and good times. I believe there's another fondue restaurant in the Great Neck area that I'm dying to check out.

Also, the sangria at Melting Pot. Get it. You won't regret it.

Sangria is fabulous - why not combine with cheese?!

Next Wednesday is National Cheese Fondue Day, and I believe the Melting Pot is doing some sort of giveaway, make sure to check it out!

I wonder if it's too late to make reservations, free fondue means extra money for drinks.

Sounds delicious... I've heard about the Melting Pot, but haven't made it there yet. Maybe I'll check it out this weekend.
