St Patrick's Day Parties

13 Mar, 2012 3:14 p.m.

Are there any good parties this saturday for St Patricks Day? I'm in Hauppauge and looking for somewhere fun to go Friday/Saturday night.

Throwing an Irish-themed party, especially on St. Patrick's Day, means going green. You can do this with decorations that are as cheap or expensive as you like: Green streamers set the mood if you're on a budget; if you have more green to spend, go all out with green light bulbs in your lamps, green helium balloons and shamrock-shaped party lights.

First of all, go for green food and drink. Almost anything can be tinted green with food coloring. Rent River Dance or Lord of the Dance for authentic, but fun, Irish dance and music. You could also use the videos as background music for "Irish dancing." Plan a "Pot at the End of the Rainbow" treasure hunt. Have the "leprechauns" hide clues all over, leading to the "Pot of Gold" at the end of the rainbow. It could have candy and treats in it, or what ever you'd like. Remember to Google St. Patrick's Day Party Plans for other ideas.
