The three 9-hole public golf courses constructed here were all designed by Alfred H. Tull in the early 1960s. Golfers have the option of mixing up their choices to create three different and exciting 18-hole games. The course distance varies from 5,463 yards to 6,300 yards. Walking is allowed on all courses. The fairways are a mixture of wide, generous corridors and tight passages. The greens also vary from large to small. There are no water hazards to avoid. Ladies and men play from the same tees. There is also a 24-tee driving range, Pro shop, full bar and restaurant. Reservations and walk-up times are almost always available. There is no dress code. Beachfront swimming on Long Island Sound, ball fields, playgrounds and picnic areas are included. The park and course are open daily, year-round.
