Situated in the middle of the Barcelona Neck Management Area, this 9-hole public golf course and park facility is compactly packed into less than 50 acres. In 1989, it was acquired by the New York State Dept. of Conservation and is manned today by dedicated volunteers. The delightful course sits out on a peninsula, surrounded by bluffs, woodlands and wetlands. Men and women play from different tees for a distance of 2,661 yards and 2,202 yards, respectively. The par value is 35. Patrons can play once for a short 9-hole game or twice for 18 holes. Walking this flat layout is like taking a beautiful stroll through nature. Greens are on the small side and, while there are no water hazards, there are several bunkers to complicate the course. Rental equipment is available and there are alcohol-free food services on-site. Sag Harbor Golf Club is open year-round, weather permitting.
