The Nassau County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protect animals from abuse and neglect. Though not a government agency, the SPCA does hold special authority to enforce NYS Agriculture and Market Laws as well as other state humane laws, and is the only animal protection agency officially designated in Nassau County.

Run by unpaid volunteers, the NCSPCA rescue, rehabilitates, and provides much needed care for animals that have been abused, neglected, or displaced. They work hard to find permanent, loving homes for pets in need.
