Established as a non-profit corporation in 1966 the Moriches Bay Historical Society encourages historical endeavor and research. The Society maintains the Havens Estate, built in the 1750s and moved to where it now stands from its original location in South Haven in 1974, and the Tuttle Barn. The Museum houses a collection of Indian artifacts, tools, a cabin door, telescope and bell from several shipwrecks.
