Long Island Sierra Club is a part of the Atlantic (New York) Chapter of the Sierra Club. Through group outings and educational programs on the conversation of the natural environment, Sierra Club has been working since 1982 as a nonprofit/member supported public interest organization to protect communities, wildlife, and the planet itself. Outings often consist of kayak down local rivers, bicycling through Long Island’s parks and hiking through preserves and other woodlands. Sierra Club outings are open to everyone.
