Over its 415 acres of landscape, Camp Hero State Park has freshwater wetlands and a beautiful bluff. This area is known for being the best place to surf fish and is opening 24 hours a day for fishing as long as you have a permit.
 
This former military base is a registered National Historic site. Although it offers fishing, swimming is not permitted.
