Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a man in Amityville last night.
 
Andre-Marcel Devieux was driving a 2020 Jeep Cherokee southbound on Schleigel  Boulevard, near Columbus Boulevard, when the vehicle veered into the northbound lanes and struck a 2016 Volkswagen at approximately 8:30 p.m.
 
The driver of the Volkswagen, Henry Foster, 34, of Forest Hills, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries. A 28-year-old female passenger in his vehicle was transported to the same hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Devieux, 28, of North Amityville was not injured.
 
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
