Medical Episode Suspected in Coram Crash That Killed Patchogue Driver

Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in Coram yesterday.
 
Michael Vogt was driving a 2012 Hyundai northbound on North Ocean Avenue, when the vehicle crashed into the center median at 2:58 p.m.
 
Vogt, 63, of Patchogue was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
 
Detectives believe the victim suffered a medical episode before the crash.
 
The Hyundai was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
