Keep Out the Cold! 10 Places to Get Firewood on LI

Written by Hannah M.  |  27. December 2011

December 21st marked the first day of winter though it may not quite feel like it with the unusually high temperatures we’ve been having. But if you think back to just a year ago massive blizzards struck Long Island without a sound, leaving many of us stranded inside our homes with little to do but wait for the town workers to dig us out. While there doesn’t seem to be any large snow storms in sight it can’t hurt to be prepared. Besides stocking up on canned goods and non-perishables it may prove wise to build yourself a decent pile of firewood. The following list provides you with nurseries and landscaping businesses that will be able to help you keep warm this winter whether you’re snuggling up for a romantic night in with a loved one or have a cozy story-time with family. Remember to always practice fire safety.
