The 101st Annual New York National Boat Show, the largest and most popular boat show in the Northeast will run December 31 through January 8, 2006 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, 35th Street & 11th Avenue in NYC. It is still a great way to beat winter and a popular holiday vacation destination, with fun for the whole family at one of the largest and most popular boat show in the northeast. The Show features a spectacular exhibition of more than 1,000 of the newest and best in luxury and cruising yachts, sport fishers, bass boats, performance boats, personal water craft, pontoon boats, inflatable, engines, marine accessories, electronics and fishing equipment, plus nautical gifts and apparel. Johnson is the host/creator of "The Fishing Line" television show on WLNY TV 55 on Saturdays May through October and his radio show every Saturday at 4 p.m. on WGBB 1240AM radio. Blaine Anderson: Captain Blaine Anderson has proven himself to be one of the top guides in Connecticut. Whether its northern pike and stripers on the Connecticut River or bluefish, stripers and false albacore on Long Island Sound, captain Anderson has the reputation for getting his clients onto fish. His clients last year alone were able to boast of six stripers over 50 inches as well as several pike over 40 inches. Blaine has been fishing all his life, basically growing up with a rod and reel in hand and his love for fishing only intensified. For several years now Blaine has fished nearly every weekend and fishes year round, in all conditions on saltwater, freshwater and on the ice. Over the years, Blaine's learned to appreciate the diverse fishery available in Connecticut and is a Charter Captain licensed both in Connecticut and New York. Captain Charles Stamm: Past President and current Director of the New Jersey Chapter of the Hudson River Fishermen's Association, "Chas" has been fishing the Hudson and East Rivers of New York City since 1982. Specializing in big bass and bluefish, "Chas" has been featured in Saltwater Sportsman and done several episodes of The Fishing Hole with Jerry McKinnis for ESPN. Captain Bill Rivera: Captain Bill Rivera of the Nautical School of Maritime Licensing in Plainview, NY, has over 25 years of experience in the maritime industry and personally co-wrote the textbook used by the faculty for the OUPV (Six-Pack) licensing course. He is a professional educator with over 15 years of teaching experience in prestigious institutions such as New York University and Lehman College. Captain Bill is well versed in the many facets of USCG licensing and instruction and can clearly and enthusiastically present the many reasons and benefits that answers the boating enthusiast's question: "Why Get A (Six-Pack) Captain's License?
