Written by Long Island  |  19. December 2011

*** For Immediate Release *** December 19th, 2011 Lighthouse Mission is Pleased to announce the adoption of the KREAMER STREET SCHOOL in the South Country Central School District this year for our Annual Christmas Gift-A-Way Program. Working with the South Country School District, Teachers, Administrators, and Social Workers, we have received the names of students within the school who are candidates because they are families in need. The parents of these children are invited to join us at our Christmas Gift-AWay Program on December 21st at 4pm. Parents will be given the opportunity to choose gifts for all the children in their household, not just for the students of Kreamer Street School. We have every intention to expand this program to other schools, either combining schools or choosing different ones through the upcoming years. This is accomplished solely through individual &/or corporate donations or toy drives, we are looking for more partners for the upcoming years to help us meet the increasing needs of families in our communities and continue servicing the local schools through this Christmas Gift-A-Way Program. Lighthouse Mission is Long Islands's only weekly mobile food reaching into 9 different towns covering 765 square miles of Suffolk County, feeding 3000 people per week. With additional Youth Development and Community Initiatives, we serve and resource 156,000 individuals throughout the year through our multiple programs, moving people from poverty to purpose.
