Next week Christmas arrives and Long Island is in high gear with all the spectacular winter holiday shows and events to enjoy. If you’re done with all your holiday shopping, make sure to come out and enjoy shows and events like the Nassau County Christmas Village, NEFCU’s Holiday Dreams On Ice show, the Jingle Boom Holiday Bash At The Main Street Gallery in Huntington, The Vendettas’ performing a Rock and Roll Holiday Spectacular show at Bay Street Theater and much more! FRIDAY – DECEMBER 19, 2014

Nassau County Christmas Village

Info: Come have some holiday fun at this event held on Milburn Lake behind the Coral House. Activities include fire pit with s’mores, arts and crafts in a heated tent, holiday music, horse and buggy rides and more! The event continues all weekend long.
Cost: Free Events

Who: Bayville Adventure Park Winter Wonderland
Info: This winter wonderland features arcade games, indoor rock climbing, mini golf and rope courses, ice skating, a light show, Santa visiting and more! It’s an attraction the entire family can enjoy this holiday season.
Cost: $21

Who: WLNG’s A Rockin’ Rockabilly Christmas At The Suffolk Theater
Info: Come celebrate the holidays rockin’! It’s a flash back to the Old Time Rock ‘N’ Roll Shows with old time favorites and new ones. The event features the talents of Jason D. Williams playing in the style of Jerry Lee Lewis, Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks, a guest appearance by Bobby Volkman, and “The Traditions,” Long Island’s premiere Doo-Wop group singing Doo-Wop versions of Christmas carols.
Cost: $37

SATURDAY – DECEMBER 20, 2014
Who: Cracked – An Exciting New Take On Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker
Info: This performance, featuring the professional dancers of the NOMAD Contemporary Ballet and a pre-professional company of dancers puts an exciting new twist on Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. Come celebrate the season with this holiday classic!

Who: NEFCU’s Holiday Dreams On Ice At Twin Rinks Ice Center
Info: Come enjoy this holiday ice skating spectacular and fireworks display show. The show stars local and national skaters, along with Santa and his skating elves, who come together to light their Christmas tree and celebrate the holiday season.
Cost: Free Event – Free Admission for Stand-Room Only; Limited $30 Tickets For Bleacher Seats and $100 Tickets for Seating VIP Party Pass

Time & Place: 5:30PM to 6:30PM at Twin Rinks Ice Center, 200 Merrick Avenue, East Meadow  

Who: Jingle Boom Holiday Bash At The Main Street Gallery
Info: Enjoy live music, poetry, craft beer, sweet treats and an ugly sweater contest down at the Main Street Gallery at the Huntington Arts Council.

Cost: Free, $5 Suggested Donation
Time & Place: 6PM to 10PM at The Main Street Gallery, 213 Main Street, Huntington  

SUNDAY – DECEMBER 21, 2014
Who: Lumiere Ballet – The Nutcracker At SUNY Old Westbury
Info: Come enjoy the holiday ballet classic by Tchaikovsky adapted from the story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” by E.T.A. Hoffman.

Who: Disney’s Mary Poppins At BroadHollow’s BayWay Arts Center In East Islip
Info: Come enjoy this musical set in Edwardian London and based on a series of children’s books by P.L. Travers and the 1964 Disney film, involving a governess with magical abilities.|

Who: The Vendettas Rock and Roll Holiday Spectacular At Bay Street Theater
Info: The show features one of Long Island’s favorite Rockabilly bands. Rock to holiday hits and plenty of Roots Rock and Roll, which The Vendettas are known for. The show also features The Holiday Horns, pianist Mike Ryan and vocalist Erin Doherty.

Cost: $15
