The Major Case Squad reports the arrest two individuals for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 3:51 p.m. in East Garden City.
 
According to Detectives, Police responded to Neiman Marcus located at 620 Old County Road for a Larceny. Two male suspects were observed via video surveillance manipulating a display case and taking a gold necklace valued at $7,665.00.
 
The suspects passed all points of purchase without rendering payment and left in an unknown direction.
 
A thorough investigation led to the arrests of defendants, Victor Manuel Riveros Ruiz, 48, of Maspeth and Ludy Esperanza Ardila Mogollon,
49, of Maspeth.
 
Defendants Riveros Ruiz and Ardila Mogollon are both charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree. They were issued Appearance tickets returnable to First District
 
Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead. Both Defendants are illegally in the United States and subject to removal proceedings. US Immigration Customs Enforcement Agents (ICE) took custody of the defendants.
