Winter 2002-03 Trends Tis' the season for giving! So give yourself the gift of beauty at CosmeticMall.com. Winter hues are sexy and sultry; the ever-famous Smoky EYE is the craze yet again! Eye shadows in colors like plum, deep brown, gray or black will help you create this effect. Lips are loud and luscious with lipsticks in burgundy, berries and reds; while sheers, lip glass and lip stains provide a more subtle kissable lip. If your looking to make a sparkling impression this winter add some shimmer and shine to your holiday look. How to get that Smoky Effect! STEP ONE- Add a touch of powder in order to seal the eye shadow base. Sweep eyeshadow on the lid and slightly apply underneath the eye. Be sure to layer the lid only leaving the upper part of eye at brow bone bare. Some perfect shadows to create luxurious lids are Chiara's Eyeshadow in Brandywine or Java. Christian Dior's 5 color Eyeshadow Palette is perfect for creating this look Other greats are Lancome's Color Focus in PROP, Lancome's Ombre Couture in Spiced Couture and Yves St. Laurent Eyeshadow Duo No. 73. TIP: For the SMOKY EYE apply the medium shade from the bottom of your eyelid to the middle of your crease. Highlight the upper lid below the brow with the lightest color. STEP TWO - Before applying eyeliner under eye dap a little concealer or foundation under the eye. If you have smaller eyes you shouldn't line the entire eye as it only takes away from your look, rather, only go about half way. If your eyes are average or bigger you can go nearly to the inner corner with no worries. Now add a thin line of black or dark brown eyeliner, thicker towards the outer edge. Some great liners are Dior's Diorliner NO. 098 in Black or Clinique's Quickliner in Smoky Brown. TIP: To create a 'Sexy Diva' look extend the liner slightly past the outer corner of your eye! (Lancome's Artliner in Ice Black works great!) STEP THREE - To finish your look, smudge eyeliner with an eyeliner brush. and add mascara to enhance your lashes Be A Shimmering Beauty! Put a sparkle in everyone's eye when you wear dazzling shades this winter. Smoky eyes are the craze, add some excitement and drama to this look and SHIMMER in style. The way your eyebrows are shaped can add or take away from your look. Naomi and Oprah know this well! Brows should be plucked to perfection with Tweezerman's Slant Tweezer. TIP: It's always best to shade them in with a brow pencil that is slightly lighter than your eyebrow color to enhance them and add depth. Written by Beauty Expert Tabatha Clifford
