FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Close After Tuesday

Long Islanders requiring assistance related to Superstorm Sandy damages and recovery have until Tuesday evening, Dec. 4, to visit FEMA’s Disaster Recovery Centers.  

There are four DRCs in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, where residents can complete applications for federal assistance, receive answers to questions or clarification for any written correspondences, or to check the status of any application.  Local residents can also visit any of the DRCs throughout New York.
 
DRCs located in Nassau County can be found at the following addresses:
 
Nassau Community College - Student Union Building
1 Education Drive
Garden City, NY 11530
Hours: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. 
 
New Cassel Community Center Garden
141 Garden St.
Westbury, NY 11590
Hours: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. 
 
 
DRCs located in Suffolk County can be found at the following addresses:
 
H. Lee Dennison Building
100 Veterans Memorial Highway
Hauppauge, NY 11788
Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
 
Riverhead County Center
300 Center Drive
Riverhead, NY 11901
Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
