Who: Allan Dorman, Mayor, Village of Islandia Islandia Village Board of Trustees Central Islip Fire Department What: The village of Islandia will kick off the holiday season with its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. "Joe the Singing Bus Driver" will sing and play holiday favorites. Village residents will perform karaoke as they get behind the microphone and sing their favorite holiday songs. Santa Claus will arrive on a fire truck, giving out presents for the good little boys and girls of Islandia. Where: Islandia Village Hall 1100 Old Nichols Road, Islandia When: Saturday, December 3, 2011 4:00 p.m. - Carolers arrive 5:00 p.m. - Tree lighting, followed by arrival of Santa Claus Photo Mayor Dorman joining the Trustees in lighting the tree.
