Holiday Toy Drives 2013: All Children Should Have a Gift Holiday Season

Written by Sharon Lindell  |  30. November 2013

Toy Drives during the holiday season have been taking place over decades. It is synonymous with the holiday season that people receive and give gifts, but many families cannot afford to give gifts to their family, particularly children. Remember that feeling as a child when you opened presents during the holiday season; let another children who does not have that much experience that feeling.

Ed Mangano recently launched a Toys for Tots drive at all county buildings and stated, As we approach this holiday season, I encourage all that are able to participate in the Toys for Tots Holiday Gift Drive to bring a new unwrapped toy to one of the convenient locations around the county, and bring a smile to a child’s face this holiday season.” You can take any toy donations to any Nassau County building location.

The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County have a wonderful program where Long Islanders can adopt a family to give them gifts and food this holiday season.

Toy collections can take place in the toy store you are purchasing your holiday items, offices, or schools. There are also many Toy Drive events taking place this holiday season. So, check out one of the great events and give back this holiday season!

How are you donating toys this holiday season? What toys do you think kids would like this holiday season? Tell us in the comments below!
