Suffolk Police Seeking Man Who Stole Purse from Truck in West Babylon

Bethpage, NY - November 24, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County First Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man wanted for questioning in a grand larceny investigation.
 
A woman was unloading items from a truck into a storage unit at Public Storage, located at 821 Route 27 in West Babylon, on July 17 at approximately 4:00 p.m. when a man entered the cab of the truck and stole the woman’s purse containing $1,500. The suspect, pictured below, is described as a white man with gray hair, approximately 50 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with an average build.
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
