Suffolk County Police have arrested a man for driving while intoxicated after he crashed his vehicle last night in Saint James.
Kody Whitton was driving a 2005 Buick Lacrosse westbound in front of 580 North Country Road when he lost control of the vehicle, struck a utility pole, and then a tree at approximately 11:45 p.m.
Whitton was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Whitton, 28, of 94 Meadow Road, Kings Park, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He will be arraigned at a later date. The Buick was impounded for a safety check.
