Every year Thanksgiving marks the beginning of Turkey Trot season! These annual runs, usually taking place on Thanksgiving Day, are a lot of fun and provide a good source of exercise before a long day of eating. Just think of all those hours you’ll be spending surrounded by cherished friends and family members eating delicious multiple course meals – especially so for those who are Thanksgiving dinner hopping on the big night! With all that eating getting in some cardio beforehand sounds like a pretty good idea!
Many of the Turkey Trots going on around the Island also benefit local organizations and charitable causes so not only will you be getting yourself moving you’ll also be helping move along a good cause. Don’t forget to bring along the kids! Most of the trots also have a shortened length fun run beforehand perfect for getting the kids active and interacting with other kids their age.
