Halloween is almost here, and with the holiday landing on a Friday, there will be plenty of ways to celebrate all weekend long! If you've got little ghosts and ghouls that you'll be taking trick or treating, then you should consider checking out one of the local Safe Trick or Treat Events that will be taking place at local schools, museums, churches, community centers, parks, and other local venues.

Safe Trick or Treat events are perfect for little ones who are not old enough to go trick or treating by themselves yet, but still want in on the holiday fun! The events are supervised and in a safe environment, and they're often run by local community organizations that want to ensure kids within the community can have a fun Halloween without having to worry about stranger danger, or sorting through all of that candy. They're also a great way to introduce your littlest trick or treaters to the process of trick or treating, so that they can experience Halloween fun safely.

Friday, October 31st - Halloween!

Trick or Treat at the Heckscher Museum of Art - FREE*

Head over to Heckscher Art Museum in Huntington for a day of Safe Trick or Treating, art activities, and tons of Halloween Fun! Costumes Strongly Encouraged! The Museum will also be collecting food donations for Long Island Cares at this event.

Halloween Main Street Trick or Treat in Westhampton Beach - FREE!

The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Free Trick or Treat event this Halloween for kids - head over to Main Street to Trick or Treat at all your favorite stores!

Trick or Treating at Smith Haven Mall - FREE!

3 PM - 5 PM
Head over to the Smith Haven Mall this Halloween for a Free Trick or Treating Event where little ghosts & ghouls in costume can collect sweet treats from their favorite Mall Stores!

Islip Town Safe Trick or Treat - FREE!
Islip Town Hall, 655 Main Street, Islip, NY 11751
6 PM - 8 PM
Head over to Islip Town Hall for an evening of spooky stories, then head out and trick or treat around town, where local businesses will be handing out goodies!

Halloween Festival at the Stony Brook Center - FREE!
111 Main Street, Stony Brook, NY 11790
2 PM - 4 PM
Head over to the Stony Brook Center on Main Street for a Halloween Festival complete with trick or treating!

Deer Park Tanger Outlets Trick or Treat Event - FREE!

12 PM - 8 PM
Head over to the Outlets in Deer Park for a day of trick or treating! Be sure to come in costume!

Center Moriches March of the Goblins - FREE!
Main Street, Center Moriches, NY 11934
4:30 PM - 6 PM
Head over to Center Moriches for their annual March of the Goblins! Families are encouraged to come in costume, and children of elementary school age & younger will be able to trick or treat on the closed down Main Street - what fun!

Saturday, November 1st
