Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Huntington this morning.
Richard Lucian was attempting to cross Main Street when a westbound 2022 Ford coming around a bend in the road struck him at 7:40 a.m.
Lucian, 85, of Cold Spring Harbor, was transported to Huntington Hospital by Huntington Community Ambulance where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Ford, Leonard Bilski, 60, of Saint James, was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
