Suffolk Police Report Selden Man Arrested for Two Recent Armed Robberies

Selden, NY - October 17, 2018 - Suffolk County Police arrested a man on Tuesday, October 16 for a robbery and an attempted robbery that occurred in the Sixth Precinct earlier this month.
 
A man entered Sunoco, located at 1575 Route 112 in Port Jefferson Station on Sunday, October 7 at approximately 9:45 a.m., displayed what appeared to be a gun and demanded cash. The clerk complied and the man fled.
 
The same man entered Speedway, located at 501 Patchogue Road in Coram, on Saturday, October 13 at approximately 2:30 a.m., displayed what appeared to be a gun and demanded cash. The employee did not comply, and the robber fled.
 
Following an investigation by Sixth Squad detectives, Devon Tyme Jr., 25, was arrested in front of his home, located in Selden, on October 16 at 9:46 p.m. Tyme Jr. was charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Attempted Robbery 1st Degree. He is being held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 17.  
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
