Attempted Sexual Assault in East Garden City

East Garden City, NY - October 17, 2014 - The Special Victim’s Squad is investigating a Robbery and Attempted Sexual Assault that occurred in East Garden City on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 5:30 am.

According to detectives, an adult female while walking in a parking lot located in the vicinity of Stewart Avenue and Selfridge Avenue was approached from behind by an unknown male subject. The subject took her jewelry by physical force and attempted to sexually assault her. The subject then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital in a Nassau County Police Ambulance. She was treated and released.

The subject is described as a male black, 5’7” to 6’ 00 “ tall, medium build, wearing black pants and black shoes.
