The weather outside is brisk, making fun in the fall come to life! Get out there to enjoy these events for the end of the week. There’s the Long Island Fall Festival at Heckscher Park, Plant & Sing Festival at Slyvestor Manor, the Riverhead Country Fair and the Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk. For those looking for indoor entertainment, catch Chazz Palminteri’s A Bronx Tale, a musical comedy performance of Young Frankenstein, a parrot expo, a BMX bike show and more! Long Island Fall Festival At Heckscher Park

Info: Enjoy a fun-filled autumn weekend with this 3-day festival. The festival features a carnival, food courts and lots of entertainment for children and adults.

Who: Chazz Palminteri’s: A Bronx Tale At The Paramount
Info: The show has been such a success, this has been added for a second show. It’s also been voted #1 “Show of The Year” in Las Vegas.

Who: Young Frankenstein At CM Performing Arts Center
Info:  Come enjoy a performance of this monster new musical comedy about Frederick Frankenstein, the grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein. Frederick inherits his family’s estate in Transylvania and finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors with the help of a hunchbacked side-kick, Igor, and a leggy lab assistant, Inga. He brings to life a creature to rival his grandfather’s that eventually escapes and the hilarity continues from there. Performances continue to run through Nov. 2.

SATURDAY – OCTOBER 11, 2014
Who: Parrot Expo At Freeport Recreation Center
Info: Come explore the various parrot species, including Amazons, caiques, cockatoos and African greys. You’ll also have the chance to meet YouTube sensation Disco the parakeet and an avian specialist on enriching the life of parrots.
Cost: $8, $2 For Children Younger Than 12

Who: Stroll To The Sea Dog Walk
Info: Take a two-mile walk with the dogs to the ocean, starting from Mulford Farm in East Hampton. The event includes free nail clippings, contests and treats for dogs. Register for the event, it goes to benefit the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons.
Cost: $30 to $35

Who: Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra
Info: Come out to enjoy a symphony orchestra performance playing with Egyptian horn player Amr Selim! The program also includes Strauss’ “Don Juan” and Bartok’s “Miraculous Mandarin.”

Who: Plant & Sing Festival At Sylvestor Manor
Info: This festival includes planting garlic and harvesting fall crops, as well as transforming the fields and the work itself into festive songs, dances, recitations and meals. Price includes farm brunch and an intimate musical sampling of several of the festival’s featured headliners and performers.
Cost: $45 to $50, or $250 For Carload of 6 People, Free For Children 12 and Under

Who: Riverhead Country Fair
Info: This Columbus Day weekend, celebrate the agricultural heritage of the town with one of the largest festivals in New York State. It’ll feature carnival rides, folk music and arts, live entertainment, agriculture, homemaking, and needlecraft competitions, farm animals and pony rides, food, tractor pulls and vendors held along the Peconic Riverfront in Riverhead.

Who: Thriller BMX Bike Show
Info: Come enjoy this BMX bike show featuring stunts and bike tricks performed live! RSVP requested.
