Indoor Season

Written by lacrosse  |  06. October 2000

Hello everyone. Fall is here, and I love it! The weather is getting cooler, the leaves are changing colors, and the smell of burning fire places is flowing through the air like a thick fog. I spent a total of six years in North Carolina and even a year in the Windy City. I can tell you first hand, Long Island falls are incredible. I realize that my opinion is exactly that, an opinion, but this place is great. The previous article encouraged players to get outside and practice individual skills. I hope everyone wasn't too preoccupied or worse... lazy! Now it is time to demonstrate these new abilities in the indoor arena. The indoor season is a wonderful time to try different moves, shots, and stick checks. Since there is little to no contact, a player doesn't have to worry about being body checked. If you aren't sure about an indoor team in your area or schedule, call a local coach or school and ask if there is any information available. This type of atmosphere is extremely important for a player to step up and show their skills. It is also instrumental in getting a team together to learn each others tendencies. Remember, the spring season is only a few months away and dreams of team championships and individual honors are with you all of the time. Enjoy it as much as possible. Please don't hesitate to email me at info@learnlax.com if you have any questions. I am very happy to announce that I am available year round. I have made it possible to have indoor sessions through the winter at World Gym Racquet and Sports Arena in Setauket(on Marktree Road, off of Rt. 347). I also have a pricing guide that warrants many discounts. Please go to www.learnlax.com for more information. Thank you for your time and play on!
