Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian last night in Lake Ronkonkoma.
 
Vanessa Tisdale was walking southbound on Ronkonkoma Avenue, crossing Express Drive North, when she was struck by a westbound 2022 Toyota RAV4 at approximately 7:50 p.m.
 
Tisdale, 63, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious condition. The driver of the Toyota, Muhammad Afzal, 27, of Levittown, was not injured. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
