Written by Brian Re  |  30. September 2017

The last days of September may have given Long Islanders a taste of the fall, but October is the time to experience the season's true colors! Though pumpkin picking, corn mazes, and foliage trips may provide enough entertainment for the month, there is a full events calendar overflowing with activities for the entire family to enjoy.

Fall Festivals and Fairs are spread across every one of the month's weekends, giving Long Islanders a chance to experience the joys of the season with each other. Keeping the energy moving right along, a wide selection of Concerts and Live Shows provide access to the best international and local performers.

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there are no shortage of charity runs/walks to raise funds for local organizations that fight the good fight. Plus, since being outdoors is simply too compelling to resist during the fall, there are plenty of options for Outdoor Fall Fun to take advantage of.

Dozens of events to attend means that there isn't a moment to waste this October! Grab your planner and keep reading to see which local events you are not going to want to miss!
