Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Investigative
Unit officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the driver who struck a
scooter rider in Mastic Beach in August.
A 19-year-old riding a scooter was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Jefferson Drive
and Neighborhood Road in Mastic Beach on August 26 at 11:23 p.m. The vehicle fled
eastbound on Neighborhood Road. The male was transported to NYU Langone Hospital-
Suffolk in Patchogue for treatment of minor injuries.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
