Dubtoberfest, a German-Style Beer Fest with LI Brewery Flavor

Written by Catherine Eve  |  26. September 2019

It’s a German-fashioned beer fest with a New York State of mind. The Destination Unknown Beer Company (Dubco) in Bay Shore will be holding Dubtoberfest 2019, Long Island’s first annual Oktoberfest-style beer festival featuring only New York State breweries and a New York State meadery on Saturday, September 28. The event takes place from 2 – 6 p.m. and tickets include unlimited tastings of over 20 styles of German-inspired beers and meads, one can of Dubtoberfest 2019 German Lager, and a commemorative 2019 Dubtoberfest tasting stein.

Plenty of Long Island and New York City breweries will be represented including Barrage, Barrier, The Brewers Collective, Great South Bay, Spider Bite, Small Craft, Secatogue, Gun Hill, Port Jeff, Moustache, Big Alice, Long Beach and Brickhouse, as well as the Lindenhurst meadery, WA Meadwerks.

And what's an Oktoberfest without some good grub?  Food trucks will be serving German-inspired food while live music will set the mood for a festive and fun afternoon.

Destination Unknown Beer Company has produced several award-winning beers and features a 600 square foot tasting room with 10 rotating tap lines. It is located at 1 South Chicago Avenue in Bay Shore. Dubtoberfest general admission tickets are $55 and are available through eventbrite
