2013 Great Long Island Attraction Openings and Closings

As the summer comes to an end, many attractions on Long Island will be closing around the island. Many attraction are outdoors and the facilities are unusable in the colder weather.
So, in the next few weeks, take the opportunity to stop by these locations on the island. They will be missed until they reopen in the Spring.
  • Splish Splash - The water park season is over and this water park is closed for the season.
  • Adventureland - This amusement park has limited hours are we head into October. The park will be open only on weekends until November 3rd.
  • Country Fair - This amusement park will be open through the year with limited hours. However, you can look forward to their fall festival and their breakfast with Santa in December.
  • Long Island Beaches - Lifeguards will begin to close up shop as the weather gets colder. Many beaches no longer offer lifeguard supervision. Swim at your own risk.
  • Baseball Season - Enjoy the Ducks now, because baseball season is almost over.
  • Tiki Action Park - This outdoor mini-golf course has closed for the season.
  • Five Town Mini Golf and Batting Cages - This attraction operates until the end of October.
Don’t worry though, there are many attractions opening up this fall and other year around attractions that are a lot of fun to do. Be sure to check some of these places out as the weather gets colder.
  • Bayville Adventure & Scream Park - Get ready for a scare! Bayville scream park is open as of this past weekend.
  • Monster Golf - This indoor mini-golf course is open year round.
  • Bowling - Check out your local bowling alley this fall and winter.
  • Theaters - Enjoy live shows year round at the many theaters on Long Island. 
  • Comedy Club - Have a laugh this fall at the many comedy clubs on Long Island.
