The multipurpose center will serve the medical, dental and ophthalmic needs of residents from the New York metropolitan area all under one roof, while helping to bridge the gap in health services left by medical centers in Queens County that have since closed its doors. Local elected officials will take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a tour of the facility. The new 10,000-square-foot building features state-of-the-art equipment and comprises of three main departments: medical, dental and ophthalmology/LASIK. The medical center features 16 spacious examination rooms where doctors can examine the patients and hold consultations. The dental suite has four dentist's chairs - one in each office - featuring the most modern dental equipment. The LASIK surgery center features the most state-of-the-art lasers that are built for shortened surgery times, advanced performance and superb outcomes. In addition, the center has four office suites, three reception/waiting areas, a nurses station/triage area and other amenities.
