C.W. Post's Long Island Women's Institute Sponsores: "Ready, Set, Lead!"

Brookville, N.Y. -- The Long Island Women's Institute at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University and the Partnership to Advance Women Leaders (PAWL) will host a panel discussion to encourage college-age women to examine the role of women in the political arena in all fields of endeavor. "Ready, Set, Lead! Empowering Women in the Political Process," will be held Wednesday, September 21 at 6 p.m. in the Great Hall of Winnick House on the C.W. Post Campus, 720 Northern Boulevard in Brookville. Leading the discussion will be some of Long Island's most successful women leaders, including Linda Kevins, Vice President of the Women's Bar Association of New York, who will deliver the keynote address. The event, which is free and open to the public, is targeted to students interested in all fields. A select group of students from area colleges and universities will be invited to attend. The Partnership to Advance Women Leaders is an organization of women and like-minded men formed to create a more representative democracy by increasing female leadership. The C.W.
