Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI), a leading service provider for children and adults with autism on Long Island, will be hosting a Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, September 17th from 12PM to 3PM. The free fair is offering the local community a venue to learn about healthy life-styles for getting and staying in shape. The Fair will take place at DDI's 99 Hollywood Drive, Smithtown location. The Health Fair will serve to promote a healthy community and workplace with health education and physical activity programs, offer mind and body health services, educate the community and offer health screenings as well as educate the local community on DDI's Opti-Healthcare health and wellness services. Door prizes local vendors, snacks and fun for all will be in full supply. In addition, Long Island Blood Services will be conducting a blood drive. For more information please log onto www.ddiny.org. DDI is a not-for-profit agency headquartered in Smithtown, NY, with more than 40 locations throughout Suffolk and Nassau Counties. Serving nearly 1,000 children and adults with a diagnosis of an autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), DDI is the largest provider of services for individuals with Autism on Long Island. It provides educational, vocational, and residential programs, as well as medical and dental services for over 5,000 children and adults with autism or other developmental disabilities. DDI also operates family-centered preschool programs for both children with disabilities as well as typically developing students.
